Dr. Hyeyoung Maeng
Bio Dr. Young (Hyeyoung) Maeng is an artist-researcher in contemporary art and an Assistant Professor of Art at California State University, Fresno. Her studio practice explores expanded painting practices, encompassing Western and Korean painting, drawing, digital photography, and video art. Young’s art practice-based research has been presented in numerous international galleries, museums, and conferences, including the Seoul Art Center, Sejong Museum, Gallery The Flex & amp; Flow in South Korea, Peter Scott Gallery, Liverpool FACT in the UK, Diego Rivera Gallery, and ARC Gallery in San Francisco, as well as the Deleuze and Guattari Conference in London, Prague, and Rome. Currently, her research project explores the art-philosophical meaning of EDI (Equity, Diversity, Inclusion) in human and AI companion robot interactions. |
